US music star to come to Essex

This Chanukah, Essex will welcome an international music sensation in the shape of Nissim Black. The Israeli-American Hassidic rapper, songwriter and record producer will be headlining an exclusive event taking place at The City Pavilion in Romford.

The concert, which will take place on Wednesday 1st December, is being organised by Rabbi Odom Brandman of Chabad Buckhurst Hill. Last year he was involved in organising a huge Drive-In Chanukah Concert attracting over 1000 people from the local community who enjoyed a Covid-safe Chanukah party from the comfort of their cars. After the success of that, he was determined to do something bigger and better this year and has described this concert as an amazing scoop for Essex and the wider community.’

“Chabad is always looking to grow and think out of the box to inspire the community. Nissim has an amazing story, is a unique and special character and will be an inspiration to all who attend this concert”.

Finding the right venue and putting together the event has been challenging for Rabbi Brandman and his team, but he is confident that it will be an ‘extremely memorable evening’ not only for the Essex community but those in NW London and Stamford Hill.

Nissim grew up in the US where he was not only a rapper, but a gang member. He became religious around ten years ago converting to Judaism in 2012, and moved to Israel with his family in 2016. This is the first time he has visited the UK for a few years and in that time he has built up a large fanbase over here who will be keen to see him perform live.

With only 1,200 tickets available, booking early is essential to avoid disappoint as the event is likely to sell out fast! Doors open at 6pm. Concert starts at 7pm. There will be an opportunity to also buy additional tickets for a personal Meet and Great with Nissim after the concert.
