As a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, the Essex Jewish News is dedicated to the local Jewish communities in which it circulates. The aim of this community newspaper strives to support the Jewish Youth in East London, Essex and East Anglia, firstly by offering valuable work experience in the Journalism and Communications fields; but also by undertaking work that will seek to ensure a bright and long-term future for such communities.
To help implement these efforts, we would rely particularly on raising funds via grants and traditional community donations.
By affording real opportunities to our youth, and by helping them to find reasons for remaining within their local communities, it is hoped that we can assist in retaining and bolstering the Jewish communities of East London, Essex and East Anglia.
The EJN has been the Clarion of local Jewry for over 40 years and as a not-for-profit media the production costs have always been covered by revenue derived from advertising. The Paper has benefitted from having a willing and capable group of dedicated people amongst its Directors who have freely volunteered their expertise and time thereby keeping costs to an absolute minimum.
