Clore Tikva Half Term Readathon

Clore Tikva Primary School children raise £3200 for books for their school!

To encourage the love for reading, Clore Tikva staff had to think of a way to raise money for much-needed quality texts for school. They came up with a plan…

Our Readathon took place during half term and all children from Nursery to Year 6 were given the opportunity to read each day for a week and gain sponsorship. Rising to the challenge, the pupils read a wide variety of books and amazing £3200. Every child that took part received a very special certificate and there were lots of prizes given out too!

A big thank you must go to Natalie Gladstone for designing the sponsorship form and certificates, Jo Stanley for donating some wonderful prizes and Mr Sheril, a parent and governor of the school who donated a very generous £500 towards books. We would like to thank all children and parents for their wonderful enthusiasm and support in this challenge and we cannot wait to see the children reading the wonderful books we can now purchase.
